The two parties today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate in various sectors.
EPRDF Office Head, Shiferaw Shigute and CPC International Section Vice Minister, Ziu Liuping, signed the MoU here at a ceremony held at the EPRDF Office.
Deputy Chairperson of EPRDF, Demeke Mekonnen also held discussion with the visiting Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao.
During their discussion, the two sides exchanged views on how to elevate the people-to-people and party-to-party relations.
Demeke on the occasion said Li’s visit to Ethiopia is a manifestation of the strong relations established between the two countries.
Ethiopia has a lot to learn from the Communist Party of China and Chinese government, the Deputy Premier.
Li on his part said in addition to sharing its experience in agricultural and economic sector, his country would provide the necessary support for Ethiopia.
The two sides also agreed to strengthen their cooperation in trade, education, health, investment, training and scholarship.
EPRDF accepted the invitation offered by the Communist Party of China (CPC) to visit China in the first half of the upcoming New Year (2017).
